Position: Counselor (Chemical Dependence)
Location: Residential Treatment Center, San Jose, CA
Job description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Per diem and Outpatient counselor needed for our San Leandro treatment
center. Will facilitate process & educational groups, helping
with individual treatment plans, writing progress notes, and doing
individual counseling. Counselor will also be responsible for doing
Level of Care and Clinical assessments. Excellent interpersonal
skills required and excellent documentation skills are a necessary
part of the job. Be part of a small, but powerful counseling team
at our beautiful San Leandro location. Positions Supervised: None
Supervisor: Clinical Director
Qualifications
1. Education and Experience: Training
in the field of chemical dependency. CAADAC certification or
CAADAC intern preferred,
must have experience
in facilitating
AOD educational groups and documenting client progress.
2. Skills:
a. Excellent people/interpersonal skills.
b. Must be able to work as a team member in a busy, people-oriented
environment.
c. Ability to think on your feet, handle potential crises in a calm manner.
d. Strong writing skills.
e. Excellent communication and organizational skills a must.
