Addiction and Its Impact on the Family as a Whole

Research indicates that family involvement in substance abuse treatment is crucial. In order to provide support, information, and resources, Support Systems Homes has developed a Family Education Program for our clients' family members.

The Family Program's goal is to introduce participants to the principles of recovery along with providing necessary social and emotional support. The educational component of the Family group assists clients and family members in understanding the web of addiction and its impact on the family as a whole. Family members of clients who are participating in Detoxification, Residential, Day, and Outpatient Treatment services are encouraged to attend this program.
